Create your personal shade
shadedesign® specialises in the design and installation of handmade shade sails (tensile structures). We are based in Palamós, in the heart of the Costa Brava.
Every project is tailored to the area that needs covering. We work with a method proven in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, where sun protection is not a luxury but a necessity. Our technical projects carry a quality seal and are signed by architects.

Where do you install shade sails?
We are based in Palamós (Costa Brava) and install throughout Catalonia with our own team or certified installers. For the rest of Spain we make your sail to measure and ship it to you.
Can shade sails withstand the wind?
Yes. A properly installed shade sail can withstand winds of up to 100 km/h. Every sail is designed and tensioned for its location, with stainless steel hardware and calculated anchor points; our technical projects are signed by architects.
How much does a custom shade sail cost?
It depends on the project: the area, the number of posts and whether the sail can be anchored to a building. As a guide, usually between €50 and €350 per m². We will prepare a free, no-obligation quote.
Does it get hot under a shade sail?
No. The fabric is breathable and lets hot air escape, so it feels much cooler under the sail than under a closed roof.
What warranty do you offer?
The structure lasts around 20–30 years, and Gale Pacific COM95 fabric comes with a 10-year warranty against degradation. We also offer annual maintenance.
